Hello Betty Jane (HBJ) is a service provided to Seniors, Independent Living, and Assisted Living Residents who are interested in connecting with their Family and Friends through FaceTime and Skype™.

Five years ago, Betty Jane (my Mom) and I used FaceTime for the first time. It changed our lives. Instead of feeling the 1400 miles between us, we felt as if we were once again together in the same room!

The program I've created based on this experience is my passion and my tribute to my mother. Hello Betty Jane allows others to experience the joy and happiness of connecting with their own family and friends through FaceTime and Skype™.

Keeping assisted living residents engaged with activities is important for their overall well-being. Social interaction with others, social outings and individual attention are important. HBJ provides an additional platform for them to experience connectivity as well as offers a wonderful, fun and emotionally satisfying way to increase their neuroplasticity.

Communication Technology is a gift for all of us to be able to benefit from. Unfortunately, for our aging population, it is difficult and confusing to learn. I'm offering my assistance, my computer and my time to be “the connector”.

I will coordinate "appointments" between your residents and their loved ones. Once the resident is brought to the designated meeting area in your facility-this could be a conference room or the activity center, any area that provides a reasonable level of privacy and protection, I will provide headsets with a microphone, assist them with their connection and be there to handle any technical difficulties. Each session will last approximately 15 minutes.

At this time, there is no charge for the service.
