What is HBJ?

HBJ is a service provided to clients of Senior Residential Centers who are interested in connecting with their Family and Friends through FaceTime and Skype™. HBJ is for Seniors living in Senior Residential Centers who want to SEE and CONNECT with Family and Friends. They may not have access to a computer, or if they do, they don't have the technical skills to use it. HBJ provides an opportunity for Family and Friends who live all around the world to SEE and CONNECT with their special loved ones. We bridge the gap.

To enable others to experience their own joy and happiness by connecting to their family and friends.


How does HBJ work?

I will coordinate "appointments" between your residents and their loved ones. Once the resident is brought to the designated meeting area in your facility-this could be a conference room or the activity center, any area that provides a reasonable level of privacy and protection, I will provide headsets with a microphone, assist them with their connection and be there to handle any technical difficulties. Each session will last approximately 15 minutes. Note: The resident's family and friends MUST have access to High Speed Internet (50 mbps, minimum) via computer, phone, or tablet device. Apple products use FaceTime and/or Skype™, and Android products use Skype™. Please be prepared prior to any connection appointment with your loved one. Be logged on with a high-speed internet connection and good lighting. Who benefits from HBJ? 

All of us have a “Betty Jane” in our lives! It might be our mother, father, sons and daughters or grandchildren, nieces and nephews or close family friends.


When can HBJ be available at my Assisted Living Center?

At this time, as a Pilot Program, there is NO charge for the service, and it's currently available in the Bradenton-Sarasota Florida area.
